MiMi Green received her undergraduate degree from Rosemont College where she earned a BA in Fine Art and a Pennsylvania State Certification to teach fine art in grades K through 12. MiMi began her teaching career with Tredyffrin/Easttown School District in Berwyn, Pennsylvania in 1977, where she taught art classes for students of all ages, eventually becoming a school counselor and coaching Boy’s Varsity Track.

While teaching and coaching at Tredyffrin/Easttown, MiMi earned her Master’s Degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Villanova University with a graduate degree in Human Relations and a Pennsylvania Certification to Counsel students in grades 6 through 12. MiMi was awarded the honor of Kappa Delta Pi and also received a Forensic Counselor Endorsement, as well as Certification as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. During those years she worked with children in need of emotional and academic support.

In 1987, MiMi retired from Tredyffrin/Easttown and founded Latchkey Concepts, which eventually evolved into Oasis home Education and Green Valley Academy.

Once trained at The Wharton School’s Non-Profit Work-shops, she also served as CEO of Wayne Art Center.

MiMi is listed in the Who’s Who in Executives and Business as well as the Who’s Who of American Women. She is the 2007 recipient of the Caron Foundation Terry Muzzy Award. MiMi is currently the CEO of Green Valley Academy.

Green Valley Academy – Newly Accredited Candidate Member

Green Valley Academy has been accepted as a Candidate Member of the Middle States Association of Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.  Our school is the first of its kind to be accepted as a Candidate member of the MSA-CESS.  With this new status, GVA will benefit from all the rights and privileges of being a Member.

The MSA-CESS is a voluntary, peer-based, non-profit association that performs peer evaluation and regional accreditation of public and private schools in the Mid-Atlantic United States and certain foreign institutions of American origin that accepted by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
