Short-Term Placements for Special Education Students During COVID

Are you having trouble with your IEP’d or 504 students during this “New Normal”?

Students with IEP’s and distinct learning disabilities are having some of the toughest times with online learning and most do not feel safe returning to a crowded classroom.  Research is showing that special education students are the most at risk of falling further behind or even dropping out of school all together.  This school year is giving us new challenges and Green Valley Academy may have a solution that not only benefits the students, but also the parents, guardians, and the school districts as well.

Green Valley Academy has kept a few spots open for short-term placement for these exact types of students.  With over 7,000 square feet of usable space, GVA has the ideal set up to keep kiddos safe during the Coronavirus pandemic and provide the ultimate environment for learning.  We have changed our entire landscape to adhere to safety standards put out by local, state, and federal guidelines.

By making these openings available for short-term students, we are able to provide a safer alternative for students and families for their children and a remarkable option for school districts, so no child’s education is left to suffer.

These short-term placement options are meant to enroll your student in GVA’s Day Program until your home school district is able to safely return to in-person instruction.  There will be options available to maintain enrollment in GVA’s Day Program indefinitely, depending on availability.

Green Valley Academy – Newly Accredited Candidate Member

Green Valley Academy has been accepted as a Candidate Member of the Middle States Association of Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.  Our school is the first of its kind to be accepted as a Candidate member of the MSA-CESS.  With this new status, GVA will benefit from all the rights and privileges of being a Member.

The MSA-CESS is a voluntary, peer-based, non-profit association that performs peer evaluation and regional accreditation of public and private schools in the Mid-Atlantic United States and certain foreign institutions of American origin that accepted by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
